First Color Test for Monster Office

So... it's been about 2 months since I've finished the animatic for Monster Office, 

and I haven't done squat on it until now! 

As hard as I tried to keep the thing black and white, I threw some color on it and realized that color makes everything look better.  However, I am still not fully confident in my color skills...

So I decided to get the wonderful Brittney Bailey to do this color test for me.

I have to say - I'm really digging the feel: 

  *She added the icing and sprinkles on the donut - a very nice touch indeed.

This background still needs a ton of detail, but in terms of mood, I think it does a good job at conveying what Monster Office should feel like.

Been A While...

Haven't posted anything in a while now...

Been busy working at Bento Box Entertainment on a pilot for MTV. 

Looks like they're going to be keeping me on development for a little while, and I'm super grateful for that! 

I have some drawings from the zoo I've been planning on putting up, but need to find some time to scan them all..

The Ghost Boy of San Joaquin

Just a concept sketch I did for my friend Dan Asselin who I used to play drums for in NYC.

He goes by the name "Ghost Boy of the San Joaquin."

I am going to play more with different poses/expressions eventually for future posters.

He let me do whatever the hell I wanted, and this is what came of it.  Lots of fun, really.

Ok, so we all know this movie is going to be epic.  James Cameron constructed his own special camera just for the film and the special effects look killer.

BUT who the FUCK designed those giant blue people???

Am I wrong or is it one of the worst character designs of ALL TIME?!?

After seeing the movie, I take what I said back ^ Even though the character design was kind of weird, it DID NOT MATTER ONE BIT.  AVATAR FUCKING RULES!
 UPDATE: I saw it a second time, and AVATAR FUCKING SUCKS! That movie has no substance whatsoever and is completely un-rewatchable.

Beer Drawing

Totally forgot about this thing.  While enjoying a beer in beautiful San Fran with some good dudes, I drew this from some spillage and foam.  Scary, huh?

I made the toad from memory after watching the first Ninja Turtles movie.

Yeah, I know, toads and turtles ain't the same thing...sounds like a hit song...

THE MEATING

This idea came while sitting on a plane and reading the "Fasten Seatbelts While Seated Sign."
Originally, I wanted to make it an animated short, but figured it would work well in comic form.
I still plan on making a short one day.
